    Shooter McGavin says:

How exactly are peoples right to vote being infringed on? Have an ID? Be a citizen? This is ridiculous!

    Franklin says:

@william blue Yes very clear. Providing voter securities. Thanks for recognizing.

    william blue says:

@iron sulfide the state runs elections and makes rules for elections not cities…..lmao you call me an idiot yet you don’t know that basic fact…..like I said before….its people like you who are the reason republikkkans love the uneducated…..go take a hs civics class then come back cause its clear you don’t have the intellectual ammunition to be involved in this conversation

    william blue says:

@Franklin lmao so taking away voting opinions provides voter security for a non existing problem?!? Lmao thats rich 🤣 its funny how when republikkkans won they didn’t enact these laws….and they still have not shown one shred of evidence of voter fraud….in fact the only evidence we do have is of republikkkans voting multiple times for Trump….and answer this….if there was voter fraud….why would democrats only steal the presidency….why did they lose seats in the house and tie in the senate? So are you saying that the republikkkans who won on the same ballots were in on the voter fraud 🤔

    Franklin says:

@william blue I don’t think there was fraud in 2020. You assume alot of incorrect things I can see. Just like the democrat big lie ran for 4 years of Russia Gate. Stolen 2016 election. But yes, taking away drop boxes, requiring ID are voter securities. Thank for recognizing. Maybe both parties can quit crying about stolen elections, if Ids are required for every vote and each vote can be verified.

    PaddleFlambeau says:

@mcdan that’s completely bullshit and you know it. Every adult in the US has a state issued ID. You can’t live in this country without one.

@Life Liver evidently you don’t understand economics, you must be a Republican🤪

    Alex DuWaldt says:

@/Rai den Not everyone insists on calling Biden Brandon. Only people of a certain ilk, usually people who like Trump and wish he won so now they’re salty and feel like they need to get back at Biden and the people who put him into office. This name calling just happens to be a symptom of those people’s discontent, and in fact their best effort to abbreviate their anger. Not the only form it takes but I think it’s the most laughable. XD call him by a different name if you want, that’s what they did to Voldemort.

Voting is a serious issue. People should put careful thought in how they choose. Some might consider that to be hard.

    VesperAegis News & Games says:

@Grundle Binglesach There are several articles in Nature and elsewhere that show that thalamocortical circuitry, which would essentially be required for any type of consciousness so far as the sensory interconnectivity and frontal cortical activity is concerned, is not fully developed until at least the 20th week, if not the 24th week. The grand, grand majority of abortions occur long before then. The second trimester is a very long period in development and shouldn’t be taken as a whole in terms of consciousness development. Myelination is also underdeveloped during the early part of this period, and evidence indicates that cortical columns on the neocortex, which require significant myelination and interconnectivity to function, are likely critical component in the brain’s modeling and ability to attain consciousness. fMRI activity during consciousness usually shows significant activity in the frontal lobe when awake and aware, and that’s also underdeveloped prior to 20 or 24 weeks. Prior to that advent, evidence for babies feeling pain aside from instinctual reflex is still around week 20, but probably closer to 24.

    VesperAegis News & Games says:

@IronskullGM Again with the hyperbole. I’m not suggesting that all forms of populism are bad, but you’ve still turned this into a binary choice of “elites are holding down the masses” and “populism destroy elites, good for the majority of people!” Populism becomes pernicious when you have people following amoral demagogues like Trump, people who are essentially alpha narcissists and potential sociopaths who demonstrably have zero empathy, espouse no empathy for their fellow human beings, and care only about their own success and echo the same in their demeanor. Anti-intellectualism is just the icing on the cake here, and Trump was the paramount example of inducing a lack of intellectual curiosity. The man does not read books. He thinks plane flew in the Revolutionary War. He mistakes William Bryan’s fomite transmission prevention as something that can be done with injection of disinfectant inside the body. He thinks the Spanish Flu occurred in 1917 because there was a movie. He thinks windmills cause cancer. He alluded to the idea that climate change was a hoax. The man is a walking, living breathing example of everything that is wrong with our education system. If it stopped with him, that would be one thing, but it clearly trickles down to the public as well as his reactionary policy positions and lack of contemplative reflection. That brand of unthinking, uncritical leadership represents the diminution of critical thinking in American politics, and it starts from the ground up with the “populism” you describe. People are voting on emotion rather than logic and rational thinking, and I regret to say it’s occurring chiefly on one side of the aisle when it comes to pro-science issues in particular.

    IronskullGM says:

@VesperAegis News & Games OMG you’re pompous and arrogant.. All I have to say to you is, ‘Qu’ils mangent de la brioche’.
The world is already marching, all the elite have done is awaken the sleeping giant. The massive populist uprising happening now and escalating, is proof.

    Grundle Binglesach says:

@VesperAegis News & Games well I guess some articles are different then, I guess that means the answer is unknown, I would guess its probably somewhere in the middle of our statements, either way im for abortion in the first trimester, anything after that is fucked up

    Gabriel Page says:

    Travis Marion says:

The ONLY thing I’d support from this administration would be TERM LIMITS for ALL Congressmen! How is this NOT a requirement over 100+ years ago? No insider trading. No giving congressmen “legal” bribes with stocks. Voter ID and Voter Registration is common sense. Let’s Go Brandon!

    Travis Marion says:

@James Cash No. We do not. You obviously DO NOT realize what term limits are… There should NEVER be career politicians ever IMO. You should want to “serve” your country and try and better our policies for a short term (two terms maximum in ANY seat). If you want to be a Senator for two terms and then run for President… Fine. But IMO 99% of all these Congressman go there to GET RICH. Not for the benefit of their voters.

    James Fredrick says:

@Travis Marion what he’s saying is the people chose to keep voting those who have been in power for so long. It’s literally in the hands of the people artard.

    James Cash says:

@Travis Marion then the voters need to vote them out! Lol. There is your term limits right there. If people are that dissatisfied then logic would say people aren’t going to keep them in office.

    Travis Marion says:

@James Fredrick Yes. I understand how voting work. I understand elections. But I also understand that if you remove the ability for someone to exploit a system… The system will function the way it was designed. Our Congress was never intended to have lifelong politicians. And this allows these individuals to be enticed and seduced with wealth by others whom would use their position of power for their own personal or business gains. This isn’t rocket science. Term limits are the FIRST thing that needs put in place. Short bus rider? Must be. 🤔

    Richard Rosenthal says:

@Travis Marion “Our Congress was never intended to have lifelong politicians.” Is this in the Constitution? How do you derive such “intentions”.

    mountbara says:

The filibuster needs to be restored to it’s original form, want to filibuster? Be prepared to talk for hours. Getting rid of it is a bad idea and this is just a power grab likely to backfire on the Democrats.
