    Amateur says:

@stoufer2000 NATO attacked countries that did not threaten it in any way – Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. All these countries were destroyed by NATO bombs. Millions of people and children are killed by NATO soldiers. Is this the kind of world you want, that you have peace at home and you can bomb everyone you want? And now you write to me how many countries Putin bombed?

    Ali Gee says:

    stoufer2000 says:

@James Ukraine isn’t in NATO. Pointless arguing with russia tho, appeasement doesn’t work..the only language Putin will understand is when his troops are going back home in boxes.

@Hunter Roberts Forget it there is no point in arguing

    Davit Bejanishvili says:

    @spoukie Fg yeah… He is literally Indian…

    Steven Brengard says:

@Shakthi Aravind Ovisha – NATO (and the U.S.) wants nothing to do with Russia. Nor are we talking about invading Russia. We are talking about the Ukraine. But as a former Soldier I can tell you … Russia ain’t got nothing on our capabilities overall.

    thediscussionclub says:

Another thing that I have noticed with majority of these videos either from Fox CNN BBC or any other broadcasting house. they tend to not be very objective all of them tender paint Russia in a negative light. Ignoring the fact of why NATO was even created in the first place. the primary objective of NATO was to defend Europe against Russian invasion.

Why Russia don’t use their own land and people more efficiently? Maybe because Russia is just a playground for few oligarchs?

    Amateur says:

@x87 You urgently need to treat your head! In 2014, there was a coup d’etat in Ukraine, terrorists overthrew the legitimate government elected by the people of Ukraine, and Donbass and Crimea refused to obey the terrorists who came to power. The people of Ukraine have been holding actions and protests for 7 years and demand that the terrorists leave Ukraine.

    Steven Brengard says:

@Amateur Bring it on … most of us want CA to skip beneath the waves anyway. You act like there would be little to no response from a nuclear attack.

    Amateur says:

@Steven Brengard The answer, of course, will be, but only from US submarines, and for this Russia has the most modern air defense standing in three echelons, even the Pentagon admitted that Russia is capable of shooting down up to 90% of warheads, and plus, the territory of Russia is 3 times larger than the territory of the United States and the cities are at great distances from each other. There are 1,120 cities in Russia, and the United States has 1,350 nuclear warheads on 652 deployed carriers. So Russia is not threatened with total destruction, unlike the United States and Western countries. In addition, Russia has food warehouses in which food is hidden, which is enough to feed 20 million people for 8 years. As well as seeds of all food plants and trees. So since the times of the USSR, Russia has been ready for the most terrible war. For Russia, like a phoenix, always rises from the ashes.

    Steven Brengard says:

@Amateur well Russian … bring it on then.

@0IIIIII I explained everything. Your reading comprehension skills are beyond trash. Not surprising actually…

    Baekdu Horang-i says:

If you 🇷🇺 deprive the life of one of children, their innocence of childhood, how could you explain about a good person to your children?
Be a good person! You always said.

    Larry says:

I have read a lot on this topic over the last month and I must give BBC credit for this article. Good questions, good answers.

    Camilla Smith says:

Greeting COVID-19 is still distributing in Ukraine right

    David Green says:

@Camilla Smith It still has less cases than Russia.

    John Osmers says:

As the Russian representative said, you people don’t seem to understand the gravity of this situation!!

    Алена Шишкина says:

Even the fact that all is discussed without presence of Ukrainian authorities says a lot about sovereignty and independence of a country. And that’s not true that joining NATO is a national goal. There is an old anecdote, when a woman complains that nobody wants to marry her. And the response was :”Have you asked everyone?”

    SebaX says:

Yeah it’s Munich 1938 again… I’m from Poland and it’s really sad. My brother we are in this together we support you as a nation. Slava!

    Chizoba Ugwuoke says:

Peace is in the best interest of all and nobody should give his/her self the false hope that a war will just be a push over and the other party will be crushed. We are talking about two sovereign nations capable of any alliance even during war and therefore we have no clear scope as to the limit of what they can do in battle.

Arrogance is a very foolish act at this point, all parties must employ caution or everyone shall be burned.

    Wael Jallad says:

    The Defence Secretary said:
“It’s a fact it’s not a member of Nato, so it is highly unlikely that anyone is going to send troops into Ukraine to challenge Russia

    Steven Brengard says:

100% true. But Poland is. And the Ukraine wants to be. Slippery slope if we let Russia dictate who can and can not be members.

    Habtamu Wubie Tesfaw says:

peace and prosperity to the world!

    Alex Plante says:

This is so 19th Century. The Great Powers having a conference to defuse a crisis concerning some small obscure place, by coming to an agreement how to divide zones of influence between themselves.

    Peter Magro says:

Accepting to dicuss this directly with Russia is the same as giving them a special say in the matter… Russia NATO 1-0
I guess Putin needs this for internal opinion. As sign off weakness really Putins regime has to start these issues to remain popular at home is it not?
